Asterisk and Kamailio

Asterisk is an open source multi-protocol IP PBX. Having support for SIP, Asterisk completes the picture of VoIP platforms using Kamailio, with features related to media handling (IVR, conferencing, voicemail, a.s.o.). Another typical usage is Kamailio in front of Asterisk farm, to perform load balancing, failure routing and high availability.
